Rachel Tavani - Voice and Piano

Rachel Tavani, American soprano and award winning pianist, 

Currently, Rachel holds a M.M. in Vocal Performance from the Boyer College of Music and Dance at Temple University located in Philadelphia. She actively seeks to stay current and further her professional development as a teacher by regularly attending continuing education. 

Rachel’s music-minded parents signed her up for her first piano lessons at age 4, and she continued her studies all the way through college. Along the way, she also began to study voice seriously, taking lessons with university-level instructors and performing in elite choirs of both classical and jazz styles. Rachel has many years of experience in live theatre and has participated in over 20 community musical theater productions and operas, both as a performer and in a directing capacity.

She has studied with Dr. Irene Bowling, Susan Trainer, Michael Trimble, and most recently been a student of Dr. Christine Anderson. 


Rachel has taught private piano and voice for the last decade, with students ranging in age from four to seventy-four. She specializes in classical vocal instruction, musical theatre voice, and acting coaching, along with classical piano instruction for students of all ages.  


Opera roles and scenes include; Giannetta (The Elixir of Love), Susanna (Marriage of Figaro), L'Infant (Le Cid), and The Dewfairy (Hansel and Gretel).
